This intriguing tour takes us on a journey through historic Cato Manor and the bustling Indian Township of Chatsworth. We stop at two of the oldest Hindu Temples in Africa and then head on to visit the colorful Bangladesh Market for some shopping and a taste of local Indian snacks and pickles. The Nelson Mandela Chatsworth Youth Centre is our next stop with lunch being served at the beautiful Sri Sri Radha Radhanath Temple after a tour of the temple grounds and main hall. One or two surprise stops will be thrown in for good measure!

After picking you up from a central location in Durban, we head off to the sprawling Durban Botanical Gardens, the oldest gardens of its kind in Africa where you will learn how it was formed and visit its unique displays of indigenous and exotic flora. We then drive up well-known Florida Road, see a man about a cookie, and knock on the heavy doors of an African Arts Museum. Feeling a little hungry, we jaunt off to one of Durban's best Bunny Chow spots situated in the suburb of Glenwood with its colonial mansions and tree-lines streets. After lunch, we go in search of Africa's oldest public Hindu Temple and then end the tour at a view point overlooking the city of Durban, after which I will drop you off at a central location of your choice.

We head on for a drive through the Durban beachfront and vibrant neighborhood of Morningside before stopping at the KwaZulu Natal Society of Arts. Founded in 1902, the KZNSA is located in Glenwood, one of Durbans oldest suburbs. The gallery exhibits work from various local and international artists and pays special attention to providing informal, disadvantaged artists an opportunity to showcase and sell their work. Our next stop is the African Art Center and Phansi Mueseum, one of the largest private collections of African artifacts in Southern Africa.
Our last stop will be at the Durban Art Gallery. Situated in City Hall, the gallery has been in existence for over 100 years and continues to display a diverse collection of artifacts from all over Southern Africa.

Phezulu Zulu Village & Reptile Park Private Tour

Explore the secrets of the Sani Valley on this hike through the lower Drakensburg Mountains in search of millennia-old Bushmen Rock Art and the Birds of Prey who call these mountains home. This moderate to strenuous, 8 hour hike consists of light walking and a few steep inclines but no climbing. The hike will be guided by an experienced Bushman and Birding expert who will walk you through the history of the Bushmen in South Africa and the meaning of the paintings.

Guests will be driven from Durban to the base of the Sani Pass where the hike begins.
